Update: Supervisor Caucus Cancelled; Malik is Nominee

AUGUST 1ST, 2011

The Sully District Nominating Committee called for an Unassembled Caucus, for which the filing period expired yesterday, July 29th, at 5:01 pm. Only one candidate, Mr. Shahid Malik, filed the necessary paperwork by the deadline. Therefore, as per the rules adopted (see below), the August 6th Caucus is canceled and Shahid Malik is declared the official Democratic Party nominee for Sully District Supervisor. More...

Ilryong Moon, incumbent at-large school board member, has been endorsed again by the Fairfax County Democratic Committee as candidate for FCPS School Board At-Large. The Centreville Patch continues its candidate interview series with Mr. Moon.
